BioMass

BioenergyBiomass or "bioenergy" consists of organic material that can be used as an energy source. It is the only renewable energy source that can be directly converted from a solid fuel into a liquid as either ethanol or biodiesel.

Biomass can be:

  • grasses
  • corn
  • wheat
  • trees
  • methane
  • agriculture/forestry residue
  • organic industrial wastes
  • organic municipal wastes
  • paper mill wastes
  • lumber mill wastes
